Website Designs WIP

For the two real world clients I was lucky enough to work with Kim Hennes and Chris Bernier to create their personal websites. With each client I was able to use a different program and learn new skills no matter how frustrating it was along the way.

Chris Bernier Design was set up using wordpress and is still a work in progress at the moment. The reason for this being that I am not 100% familiar with the in’s and out’s of wordpress and lack of information from the client. The inside of wordpress can be kind of intimidating if you don’t know anything about it. I’ve had to do a lot of research of the code specifically for wordpress so that I can edit elements that the template won’t normally allow. However, I am powering through the experience and the site is coming along well enough.

Glowing Rock Studio was a much easier process for me. I was able to create the site in Muse which I was already familiar with. I love working with Muse because it is very easy for me to create a layout that is interactive and beautiful at the same time. The one thing that gave me trouble was uploading it using FTP’s. I had never done this before and wasn’t sure how everything worked. However, after finding the problem I was quickly able to get the site up and running. There is still some work that needs to be done to it, but overall it is working perfectly.

All of these designs were created in Adobe Illustrator using Baskerville Old Face. The design is a detail from my portrait logo design as well.
